Should I inspect my dress before listing it & what should I look for?

YES! Please do. We have experienced quite a few situations where a seller hasn't looked her dress over since she wore it or it was cleaned/preserved, and once it sells she then discovers stains or damages she didn't know about.

Your chances are considerably higher for having a successful and easy sale if you tell us right away about any and all possible imperfections 🙌🏻.

Brides are way more likely to keep a dress if they know what to expect.

Please thoroughly inspect your dress for any stains, yellow discoloration, tears, holes, runs, loose threads, broken zipper, missing beads or buttons:

  • Straps, sleeves, under the arms
  • Neckline, bust and the front of the bodice
  • Zipper/lace-up and buttons on the back of the bodice
  • Skirt and train hem bottom of the dress
  • Lace applique
  • Bustle

If you find anything, snap a few pictures and send them to us. We'll add them to your listing.

  • We recommend including 3-4 pictures (as attachments) of your dress in its current condition.
  • These can be on a hanger or laying on your bed - make sure to use as much white/natural lighting as possible to avoid the dress looking yellow in your pictures.
